The FlowDirect™ One-Way Valve is designed specifically for ducted RV air conditioning systems equipped with two or more rooftop air conditioners connected to a common duct network.

When one air conditioner is operating and another remains off, conditioned air can travel through the shared ductwork and enter the inactive unit. This creates reverse airflow through the inactive evaporator coil and return-air filter, allowing dust, dirt, debris, and other contaminants trapped by the filter to be released back into the living space.

The FlowDirect™ One-Way Valve automatically seals inactive air conditioner plenums, preventing this unwanted backflow while directing more conditioned air to the vents where it is needed.

How It Works

In a typical ducted RV, multiple rooftop air conditioners share the same supply duct system. When one unit is running, the pressure it creates can force air into an inactive air conditioner through the ductwork.

Without backflow protection, this air can:

• Travel into the inactive plenum
• Pressurize the evaporator chamber
• Reverse direction through the evaporator coil
• Exit through the return-air filter
• Release captured dust, debris, and contaminants back into the RV

The FlowDirect™ One-Way Valve prevents this by automatically closing whenever reverse airflow attempts to enter an inactive unit. When the air conditioner is operating normally, the valve opens freely and allows unrestricted airflow into the duct system.
